Capturing 4K HDR game clips and screenshots

To capture 4K game clips and screenshots with Xbox One X, your TV output resolution must be set to 4K. If your TV has HDR (high dynamic range) enabled, your captures will be in HDR as well.

If you’re already viewing in 4K HDR, you’ll just need to change your capture settings.

  1. Press the Xbox button  to open the guide, then select System > Settings.
  2. Select Preferences > Broadcast & capture > Game clip resolution, then choose one of the 4K options.

Once you've updated your capture settings, you're ready to start capturing.
