Troubleshoot Halo Wars: Definitive Edition on Windows 10

An error occurred while downloading the latest game configuration data. Online features may be restricted.
This means your game needs to be updated.
Close out of the game, check for updates and install them, and then restart the game.
Cannot access content from the server. Try again later. The Halo Wars 2 servers are currently unavailable.
This means there’s a problem with either the online services for Halo Wars 2, or with your network connection.
Check Halo Waypoint for server info. If the server is up and running, check the Xbox Live service status as described below.
Unable to connect to the Xbox Live services. The Ethernet cable is unplugged or there is no network connectivity.
If you get this message or a similar one, check that your Ethernet cable is securely plugged in. If it is, check the Xbox Live service status as described below.
Unable to connect to the Xbox Live services.
You are not connected to Xbox Live. Please check your connection.
You have lost connection to the gameplay session.
The game has gone out of sync with the other players.
You are no longer connected to the squad.
If you receive one of these messages or a similar one that says you’re not connected to Xbox Live, this may be because the service is down.
Check the Xbox Live service status.
If you see any alerts here, wait until the service is up and running and try again:
If there are no service alerts, there might be a problem with your connection. See the Xbox One Connection and Network Solution.
Fatal Error! Graphics Card ‘[CARD_DETAILS]’ is below minimum spec. – Does not meet feature level 11.1.
This means that the graphics card or driver needs to be updated to one that supports DirectX 12 Feature Level 11.1.
Check your hardware to make sure you have DirectX 12 Feature Level 11.1 or higher installed. To do so:
- Press the Windows logo key + R to open the Run dialog box.
- Type "dxdiag" and then press Enter to launch the DirectX Diagnostic Tool.
- On the System tab in the System Information window, look for the DirectX version listed. The version must be 11.1 or higher to run Halo Wars: Definitive Edition.
