Xbox Live billing address problem

Problem

You may see the following error message when you try to make an Xbox Live purchase:

Sorry, there’s a problem with your billing address. Fix it in Settings, Account, Manage Payment Options, then come back to try again.

This may mean that part of the billing address associated with the payment instrument you have on file in your Xbox Live account is incorrect.

Solution

To resolve this problem, try the following solution:

  1. Use a web browser on your PC to sign in to your Microsoft account.
  2. Tap or click Manage Payment Options, and then tap or click Edit next to the payment instrument you are trying to use.
  3. Correct the information.
  4. Tap or click Save, and then try to make your purchase again.

If you keep experiencing the problem, contact Xbox Support.
