Error 80162751 occurs when you transfer a balance in your Microsoft account on Xbox 360
You see the following error code and message when you transfer a balance to another payment option in your Microsoft account on your Xbox 360 console:
Sorry, there's a problem with the Xbox service. Try again later.
Status code: 80162751
This may mean that the payment option to which you’re transferring an outstanding balance is not valid.
To resolve this problem, try the following solutions.
Solution 1: Confirm that the information for your payment options is correct
Make sure that the billing address for your Microsoft account matches the billing address you use with your credit card company. Also, make sure that your card's expiration date hasn't passed. Here's how:
- Sign in to the Payment & billing page with your Microsoft account.
- If you don't know your Microsoft account email address or password, use the Lost Account Solution or the Lost Password Solution.
- Select Billing info, and then follow the steps to review your billing information.
Note If there's an error, select Edit profile, and then follow the instructions to update the information.
If you still experience the problem, try the next solution.
Solution 2: Remove unused payment options
Important If the payment option is used to pay for a subscription, you’ll need to cancel your subscription before you can remove your payment option. For more information, see How to cancel your Xbox subscription.
If your payment option is used for purchases only, you can easily remove it. Go to Change a payment option on your Microsoft account, select Remove a payment option on the left side of the screen, and then follow the instructions.
