Xbox One:

You get the following error message after you try launching a game or joining a party chat on your Xbox One:

We were unable to get your last saved data or we weren't able to get your messages. Please try again later

Status code: 0x8000FFFF

Xbox 360:

You get the following error message after you sign in to Xbox Live on your Xbox 360:

Can't retrieve information from Xbox Live.

Status code: 8000FFFF

This may mean one of the following:

  • Some Xbox Live features are not available because of temporary system maintenance or an unexpected Xbox Live issue.
  • You can't access Xbox Live because of a network configuration issue.

Solutions

For Xbox One

To resolve this issue, try the following solutions:

Solution 1: Check the status of the Xbox Live service

If you see any alerts here, wait until the service is up and running and try again:

Solution 2: Restart your console

  1. Press and hold the Xbox button in the center of your Xbox One controller to open the Power Center.
  2. Select Restart console.
