Overview

This article describes how to resolve problems with the Foxtel app on Xbox 360.

Xbox Live connection problems

If the Foxtel app isn't functioning smoothly on your console, you may have a connectivity problem. See Troubleshoot your Xbox 360 connection to Xbox Live.

The Foxtel app doesn't respond

If the Foxtel app doesn't respond, delete and reinstall it. Here’s how:

  1. From the Xbox Dashboard, go to settings and then System.
  2. Select Storage.
  3. Select your primary storage device.
  4. Select Games and Apps.
  5. Find and select any items that refer to "Foxtel."
  6. Select Delete.
  7. From the Xbox Dashboard, go to apps and then Browse apps.
  8. Select the Foxtel app.
  9. Select Confirm Download to download and install the app.

If the problem isn’t resolved, contact Xbox Support.

I can't start a party from within Foxtel

Parties are available only with Foxtel live TV subscriptions.

Error messages

  • Foxtel on Xbox 360 has encountered an unexpected problem. To report this issue please call Foxtel on 131999 and quote "Xbox Error".

    Error Code: 210, 213, 214, 225, 330, 612, 620, or 628

  • An error has occurred whilst purchasing Foxtel On Demand. Your payment has not been successful. To report this issue please call Foxtel on 131999 and quote "Xbox Error".

    Error Code: 233

    For help resolving these errors, call Foxtel at 131999 and say "Xbox Error."

  • An error has occurred whilst purchasing this Foxtel On Demand title. Your purchase has not been successful. This may be linked to an incorrect CCV. Please try again. To check your Foxtel On Demand payment details visit:foxtel.com.au/my-foxtel If the problem persists please call Foxtel on 131999.

    Error Code: 235

    For help resolving this error, call Foxtel at 131999.

  • An error has occurred whilst purchasing Foxtel On Demand. Your payment has not been successful. To check your payment details visit: foxtel.com.au/my-foxtel

    Error Code: 236, 237, 242, 256

    To resolve this error, go to foxtel.com.au/my-foxtel and make sure your payment details are correct.

  • We encountered an unexpected problem when attempting to associate your Foxtel on Xbox 360 subscription with your Xbox Live account. Please try again. To report this issue please go to www.foxtel.com.au/xbox-contact

    Error Code: 513

  • Sorry we can’t log you out

    We encountered an unexpected problem when attempting to disassociate your Foxtel on Xbox 360 subscription from your Xbox Live account. Please try again. To report this issue please go to www.foxtel.com.au/xbox-contact

    Error Code: 515

  • Sorry we were unable to contact the Foxtel on Xbox 360 service. Please try again. To report this issue please go to www.foxtel.com.au/xbox-contact

    Error Code: 520, 521 or 522

    To resolve these errors, go to foxtel.com.au/about-foxtel/contact/default.htm and report the issue, including the error code that you received.

  • Sorry this content has now expired and is being removed from the Xbox 360 service. It is no longer available to watch.

    Error Code: 215

    The content that you wanted to watch is no longer available on the Foxtel service. Select different content to watch.

  • The game could not be started

    To resolve this issue, delete and reinstall the Foxtel app:

    1. From the Xbox Dashboard, go to settings and then System.
    2. Select Storage.
    3. Select your primary storage device (most likely Xbox 360 Hard Drive).
    4. Select Games and Apps.
    5. Find and select any items that refer to "Foxtel."
    6. Select Delete.
    7. Return to the Xbox Dashboard.
    8. Go to Browse Apps, and then select Foxtel.
    9. Select Confirm Download to download and install the app.
  • Oops
  • Sorry, the Foxtel on Xbox 360 service isn't available right now. Please try again later. For more information, go to www.xbox.com/status or call Foxtel on 131 999 and quote “Xbox Error Code <error code>"

    Note <error code> is 501, 503, 510, or 530.

    If you get this message, do the following:

    1. Wait about a minute and then try to install or run the program again.
    2. Check the status of the Foxtel service at the top of this page.
    3. If you keep getting this error, you might need to troubleshoot your network connection. For help, see the Xbox Live slow performance solution.
  • Sorry we can't log you in. This Foxtel account is currently registered to another Xbox console. You can amend your registered Xbox console by visiting: foxtel.com.au/my-foxtel

    Error Code: 206

    Sign in to your account at your foxtel.com.au/my-foxtel and, then update the console registered to the account.

  • Access to authentication system is unavailable.

    Error Code: 207

    If you get this message, do the following:

    1. Wait for a minute, and then try signing in to Foxtel.
    2. If you still can’t sign in, go to foxtel.com.au/about-foxtel/contact/default.htm and report the issue, including the error code that you received.
