App requirements

To use the Super Écran GO app, you need the following:

  • To be signed in to an Xbox Live account.
  • At least 128 megabytes of available space.
  • An approved TV provider.

Download the Super Écran GO app

To download the app, follow these steps:

  1. On your console, sign in with your Xbox Live gamertag.
  2. Go to apps, and then select Browse Apps or Search Apps.
  3. Browse or search for the Super Écran GO app.
  4. Select Super Écran GO, and then select Download.
  5. Select Confirm Purchase to download and install the app.

To start the Super Écran GO app later, go to apps, My Apps, and then Super Écran GO.

Sign in with your TV provider

  1. Go to apps, My Apps, and then Super Écran GO.
  2. The first time you start the Super Écran GO app, you’ll be prompted to activate it by generating an activation code. Select Enable your machine to begin.
  3. On an Internet-enabled device, go to www.superecrango.com/activer and click Connexion.
  4. Sign in using the user name and password that you use to sign in to the account of your TV provider.
  5. Enter the code as shown on your Xbox 360 screen, and then click Enable.
  6. On your Xbox 360, you should see a message confirming that the code has been received.
  7. Select Continue to go to Super Écran GO.

Watch Super Écran GO

  1. Go to apps, My Apps, and then Super Écran GO.
  2. Toggle between the hubs to find something to watch.
  3. You can also use the search tool to search by title, actor, or director.
  4. Choose something to watch, and then select Play.

Dissociate your console from your Super Écran GO account

If you want to dissociate your console from your TV provider account, simply sign out of Super Écran GO:

  1. Go to the Settings hub in the app and select Sign Out.
  2. You’ll be prompted to verify that you want to sign out. Select OK to continue.

Use Family Settings to control access to content

If you use Family Settings to control which movies and TV shows can be watched through Xbox Live on your console, the Super Écran GO app will follow those settings. For example, if you use parental controls to restrict access to some kinds of TV programs, those programs will be marked with a “restricted” icon in the Super Écran GO app. To play a restricted item, an adult must enter the Family Settings pass code.

Troubleshooting

Xbox Live connection problems

If the Super Écran GO app isn't functioning smoothly on your console, you may have a connectivity problem. See Troubleshoot Xbox 360 connection to Xbox Live.

The Super Écran GO app doesn't respond

If the Super Écran GO app doesn't respond, delete and reinstall it. Here's how:

  1. From the Xbox Dashboard, go to settings, and then System.
  2. Select Storage.
  3. Select your primary storage device.
  4. Select Games and Apps.
  5. Find and highlight the Super Écran GO app. Press the Y button to access Game Options.
  6. Select Delete, and then confirm that you want to delete all items related to the app.
  7. Go back to the Dashboard.
  8. Go to apps and then to Browse Apps or Search Apps.
  9. Browse or search for the Super Écran GO app and then select it.
  10. Select Download and then Confirm Purchase to download and install the app.

If the app still doesn't respond, contact Xbox Support.

Error messages

You may get one of the following error messages when you try to use the Super Écran GO app.

Connectivity errors

    • Sorry, the Super Écran GO server isn’t available right now. Please select the retry button below or try again later. For more information, go to www.xbox.com/status.
    • The Application has encountered an unexpected error and will now exit.
    • SUPER ÉCRAN GO Server unavailable.
    • A server or network error has occurred. Please try again later.
    • An unknown error has occurred.
    • An internal error has occurred.

To resolve the error, follow these steps:

  1. Go to www.xbox.com/status to ensure there is not an issue with the service provider.
  2. If there is no issue and you receive this error message when you try to launch the Super Écran GO app or content within the app, wait for approximately one minute. Then, try to launch the app again.
  3. If you continue to receive this error, delete the Super Écran GO app and reinstall.
  4. If this does not resolve your problem, please contact Xbox Support.

Application errors

    • The video cannot be played at this time.
    • A missing data error has occurred.
    • Sorry, the video you were interested in is no longer available.

To resolve the error, follow these steps:

  1. Wait for approximately one minute. Then, try to launch the content again.
  2. If you continue to receive the error, return to the prior menu and select a different piece of content to watch.
