This article offers solutions to common problems you might experience when using the Televisa app with Xbox Live and your Xbox 360 console.

Xbox Live connection problems

If the Televisa app isn’t functioning smoothly on your console, you may be experiencing a connectivity problem. See Troubleshoot your Xbox Live connection.

Xbox 360 audio or video problems

If your Xbox 360 console isn’t providing good-quality video or audio, see Xbox 360 audio or video problems.

The Televisa app doesn’t respond

To resolve this issue, delete and reinstall the Televisa app. Here’s how:

  1. From the Xbox Dashboard, go to Settings and then System.
  2. Select Storage.
  3. Select your primary storage device.
  4. Select Games and Apps.
  5. Find and highlight the Televisa app. Press the Y button to access Game Options.
  6. Select Delete, and then confirm that you want to delete all items related to the app.
  7. Go back to the Dashboard.
  8. Go to apps and then to Browse Apps or Search Apps.
  9. Browse or search for the Televisa app and then select it.
  10. Select Download and then Confirm Purchase to download and install the app.

If the app still doesn’t respond, contact Xbox Support.

Error messages

You might receive one of the following error messages when you use the Televisa app.

Connectivity errors

To resolve this connectivity error, try the following solutions:

  • Go to Xbox Live status to check for current issues with Xbox Live or the Televisa app.
  • If there are no issues and you get this error again when you try to start the Televisa app, wait for about a minute and then try to start the app again.
  • If you continue to get this error, delete and reinstall the Televisa app using the procedure described earlier on this page.

Availability errors

  • Lo sentimos, el contenido que te interesa ya no está disponible.

To resolve this availability error, wait a few minutes and try watching the content again. If you get the same error again, select different content to watch.

To notify Televisa of this error, visit the Xbox support page on the Televisa website or contact Televisa by phone at (5255) 5261 3656.

  • No se puede instalar la actualización opcional de medios. Reinicia la aplicación e inténtalo nuevamente.

To resolve this availability error, try the following solutions:

  • Wait a few minutes and try watching the content again.
  • If you get the same error again, select different content to watch.
  • Install the Optional Media Update from the Xbox Dashboard. Here’s how:
    1. Go to the Bing hub and search for "Optional Media Update."
    2. Select Optional Media Update.
    3. Select Optional Media Update again.
    4. Select Confirm Download. (The download is free.)
    5. Once your download is complete, select Continue, and then return to the Xbox Dashboard.

Important The Optional Media update can only be downloaded by a gamertag once. So, for example, if you’re using a friend's console and are signed in with your own gamertag, you won’t be able to download the Optional Media Update if you’ve already downloaded it to your own console. In this case, your friend needs to download the Optional Media Update using his or her own gamertag.

Settings error

To resolve this error, make sure that one of these conditions exists:

  • Your locale is set to Mexico
  • Parental controls are turned off (if your console is set to a locale other than Mexico)
