Why did you change the price of the Xbox Live Gold subscription?
We are launching a new pricing structure that best reflects the value of the Xbox Live Gold membership. After carefully evaluating the currency fluctuations within certain markets, and with the understanding that our offerings always provide a balance of service and value that meet the needs of our customers, we will be adjusting the price of our Xbox Live Gold subscriptions. With Home Gold on Xbox One covering the whole family, free games each month on Xbox 360 and Xbox One and exclusive discounts of up to 75% in the Xbox store there has never been a better time to be an Xbox Live Gold member.
If my subscription just renewed to the higher price can I cancel my subscription and get a refund?
We will be letting members coming up to renewal know about the changes ahead of time so they can choose to continue the subscription or turn off auto-renewal. However, if you’d like to cancel your subscription that just renewed to the higher price, contact support and we can offer you a refund.
If my subscription just renewed to the higher price can I get a refund for the difference in price?
We will be letting members coming up to renewal know about the changes ahead of time so they can choose to continue the subscription or turn off auto-renewal. If decided to keep your Xbox Live Gold subscription, you’ll need to pay the new price.
I have a prepaid subscription; will those prices increase?
Prepaid subscriptions are not renewing subscriptions so you will not pay the new price until you purchase a new prepaid subscription.
If I decide to cancel my subscription what happens to my Games with Gold games I downloaded?
If you have an Xbox 360 the games you downloaded as part of Games with Gold are yours to keep. On Xbox One, you will no longer be able to access your Games with Gold titles if you cancel your subscription. However, if you decide to renew your subscription at any time, you will be able to access and play your previously redeemed Games with Gold titles again.
