Error 0x80a4001a occurs when you’re prompted for your password
You see the following error code when you’re prompted for your Microsoft account password:
To work around this problem, do the following:
- Delete your account from your console. To do so, go to System > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.
- Choose the account you want to remove and select Remove.
- Once your account is removed, go back and select Sign-in, and then add your account again and enter your password.
- Select either No barriers or Ask for my passkey.
Note If you select Lock it down, you're likely to encounter the issue again.
