Error 8016ABA5 occurs when you try to make a purchase or redeem points on Xbox Live
You see the following error and message when you try to make a purchase or redeem points on Xbox Live:
Can't retrieve information from XBOX Live. Please try again later.
This may mean that there’s a problem with your account billing information.
To resolve this issue, enter your correct billing information. Here’s how:
- Select settings, and then select Account.
- On the Account Management screen, select Billing Information.
- Press A.
- Enter the password for your Microsoft account, and then select Done.
- Select Sign In.
- Enter your correct billing information, and then select Done.
- Select OK.
If you keep experiencing the problem, contact Xbox Support.
