Working with Mojang and Microsoft, NetEase plans to release the official China version of Minecraft in Mainland China. NetEase will make the game freely available to all our Chinese players and offer a tailored experience that will feature exclusive content and gameplay to delight our Chinese market.
Our global app will be discontinued for future purchase in China.
If you already have the game installed on your device, you can continue to play but you will not receive any future updates or ongoing support for the app. If you acquire a new device, you will not be able to download the current version to this device.
DLC will remain on the device, but it will no longer be available in your iCloud for future downloads/reinstalls.
Subscriptions will be turned off and you will be refunded for the pro-rated time prior to 20th September 2017. You can also download your realm map to your device.
You can use the remaining balance of your coins on your mobile device, but you will not be able to purchase additional coins.
Make sure you have enough space on your device to download your Realm. If you have iTunes on a PC, you can transfer the world from your phone to your PC.
Skins, Mash-up Packs, and community created content from the global version of Minecraft will not be transferrable or made available in the NetEase version at this time. Some texture packs obtained before the Minecraft Marketplace launch may still be able to be used in worlds where these texture packs were applied if the worlds are transferred.
There may be edits in the NetEase version that will not sync to the global app and vice versa.
Please visit the NetEase website for more information at mc.163.com.
