Error 807b0198 occurs when accessing a cloud-stored game on Xbox 360
You see the following error code and message when you try to access a game that's saved in cloud storage on Xbox Live on Xbox 360:
- Sorry, cloud storage isn't available.
- Status code: 807b0198
This means that your Xbox 360 console can't connect to the Xbox Live servers due to system maintenance or a temporary Xbox Live issue. When this occurs, you may experience additional issues. For example, you may also be unable to play content that you purchased.
To resolve this problem, try the following solutions. If a solution doesn't work, go to the next one.
Solution 1: Check the status of the Xbox Live service
To check the status of Xbox Live, see Xbox Live Status. If you see an Xbox Live service alert, wait and try again later.
Solution 2: Copy saved game files
You can copy the saved game file to a storage device on your Xbox 360 console such as your Xbox 360 Hard Drive, or to a USB flash drive. For more information, see Copy, move, or delete Xbox saved games, profiles, and avatar items.
