Error FH401 occurs when you launch Forza Horizon 3
You get the following error code when you try to launch Forza Horizon 3 on Windows 10:
FH401
This means that your system memory does not meet the minimum requirements to run Forza Horizon 3. You must have a minimum of 8 GB system RAM to download the game.
Solution
To resolve this problem, check your system storage and install additional RAM as necessary:
- Press the Windows logo key+R to open the Run dialog box.
- Type "dxdiag" and then press Enter to launch the DirectX Diagnostic Tool.
- On the System tab in the System Information window, look at Memory. The amount listed must be 8 GB or higher to run Forza Horizon 3.
